Albert Took a Leap of Faith...

Starting at John L Scott in the Renton Highlands. There, Albert worked with Thach Nguyen, who quickly became a friend and mentor, imparting lessons that would shape his career to this day.

At John L Scott, with Thach's influence, Albert learned the power of the schedule and thinking big, establishing a disciplined approach to real estate buying and selling and allowing each day to offer new opportunities. Cold calls, expired listings, and canceled listings all became part of the early morning routine, freeing up afternoons for client meetings and listing appointments.

This also enabled Albert to build a referral network that helped carry his business successfully through the significant downturn of 2008-2010. Each morning, Albert came to work with the singular thought: Who can I help today?

This work ethic and determination translated into new listing opportunities, short sales, and a growing client base, even in the face of significant market challenges.

"There's Always Room to Grow..."

"And don't be afraid to fail," Albert muses, humble in the knowledge that there's always room for improvement, always more to learn, always time for others.

His mom always told him that he should never think he's better than anyone else - as there will always be someone out there working harder to be better than you. That said, Albert tries not to compare himself against other real estate agents around town - his mindset is that he is in competition with himself.

Albert feels, even after being in the real estate business for over 15 years, that he's still a student of the game; still eager to learn new aspects of the business. And ever the perfectionist, he recognizes that there should also be time for reflection on how to do things better in the future. There is no room for complacency. He is in competition with himself.

Doing the Right Thing and Carrying Himself With Integrity...

Have always been at the heart of all he does. With that growth mindset, he branched into commercial brokerage and real estate development. He left John L. Scott to pursue a position that enabled him to split his time between commercial and residential, quickly realizing that he could not do both with all his heart.

With his residential practice and developments taking off, he committed to NWG full time. When NWG was later sold to Compass, he found his new company to have the same set of values and a comprehensive online presence that enabled him to serve his clientele more effectively than ever.

While he once set transactional goals annually, he has found that an arbitrary nwnber cannot truly reflect the work and his personal performance with each deal. Instead, he looks at the quality of eaeh closing.

Today, the thrill of the deal done smoothly and efficiently is his main motivator and primary focus. About 15%-20% of his current closings are off-market, which speaks to his work ethic and comprehensive network of happy clients. Keeping a high level of personal integrity combined with a great experience for his clientele is now how he measures his success.

Also in line with his own moral code and ethics, Albert is an active sponsor and participant in the “Refuse to Abuse” 5k, which is a fundraising effort in support of the Washington State Coalition Against Domestic Violence (WSCADV). Albert joins local heroes Dees Gordon, Felix Hernandez, Kyle Seager, and the Mariners Moose at this annual event held at T-Mobile Park.

Their combined efforts raise both awareness and over $100,000 each year to improve how communities respond to domestic violence in the Seattle area. Albert personally commits to raising $10,000 toward this goal.

Albert and His Wife Jessica...

Along with their 2 daughters, live in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle. As a family, the Clarks enjoy traveling to new cities and towns, provided the offerings include sun, a pool or body of water, tennis, and golf. The girls love to swim, play basketball, run track & field, and play the piano and trumpet.

With all their activities, they keep Albert and Jessica busy. While Albert works his real estate business full time, Jessica also has full-time responsibilities by operating as a mother, wife, and pillar for the family.

Albert continues to be busy with work, life, and family, striving every day to get better.
